Our Approach
- We will tailor bespoke packages of care, based on the individual’s assessment which reflects the person’s unique needs and wishes. Mental Health and Learning Disabilities is our specialism. Our staff will be trained in Mental Health, Autism and Substance misuse.
- The care plan directs how the person will be supported to achieve outcome determined and focused goals. We work with the placing Local Authority to ensure the placement is successful and joint working is essential to ensure success.
- We foster partnerships with our local agencies, and their placing authorities, voluntary organizations, statutory agencies and the local community, we seek to ensure our customers have their needs met and voices heard.
Director
Gurpal Sanghera is currently a director and majority shareholder of a Berkshire based semi-independent support provider called Nest Care Homes. Formed in early 2016, Nest Care started with just one provision and three staff members.
As of February 2018, Nest Care Homes had four provisions and employed over twenty members of staff.
The rapid rate of expansion and success are largely due to the constant implementation of the directors’ core values of having a “Care first approach” and a “flexible and versatile” work force.
Having Nest Care home children services be successful, Gurpal wanted to increase more community support in Adult Social Care, by supporting 18 plus in supported living placements. In the aim to enable these individuals to live an independent life, while being a valued community member. Our company goal also is to change the stigma of what individuals face in the community who are diagnosed with learning disabilities/mental health/physical disability.
Senior Support Worker
Reece is the senior support worker for (Enable Care and Support) ECS. Reece carries a wealth of experience in the care industry. Working with children with challenging behavior, Learning Disabilities, Down Syndrome, Mental Health, Transforming Care, Adult Social Care, Brain Damage.
Reece’s passion started from his childhood, “I had a tough childhood with support or support worker/social worker to help me through the tough situations I faced at an early age, I always wished someone could help me, hence why I am in this job role because I want to help those in need of support. The reward of seeing individuals we support succeed is beautiful” Reece Brown (2021).
Reece Brown has worked with serve challenging behavior, and supporting individuals to be valued community member in supporting them with employment, education and volunteer work. Reece’s daily duties include the following:
- Helping people to manage their money
- Assisting to attend appointments or services
- Supporting with benefits or housing applications
- Support to attend counselling or therapy sessions with other professionals
- Support with their social activities
- Attend reviews and multi-agency meeting regarding the support needs.
- Maintain good rapport with all stakeholders involved.
- Support with medication management
- Managing staff team and home rotas.
